Topic: Maximizing Your Life [Tuesday January 31, 2017]
Scripture: …he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things. Acts 17:25.
Thought For The Day: The best way to use our life is for the pleasure of the Giver.
From our anchor scripture, it is clear that life is a gift. Nobody decided to be born and nobody chose who his or her parents should be. It was the Giver of life who determined that we should be born and who should give birth to us.
So, since God has given us life as a free gift, the best way to live is for the pleasure of the Giver.
However, many of us misuse our lives to the pain of our Maker. For instance, if you gave somebody your highly cherished designer suit and the next day you saw him using that suit as a piece of rag, how would you feel?
What a devaluation!
That is what happens to our Maker when He sees us misusing the gift of life He has given us. Every parent knows the pleasure of having an obedient and hardworking child as well as the displeasure of having a rebellious child.
Beloved, use your life to the pleasure of God by fulfilling the purpose He created you. Invest your life in soul winning; save the lost.
Remember this: The best way to live life is for the pleasure of the Giver.
1. Appreciate God for the gift of life.
2. Put life into maximum use by fulfilling the purpose for which you were born.
