NEW ALBUM FROM JONATHAN MCREYNOLDS, MY TRUTH, IS NOW AVAILABLE

MNRK Music Group celebrates the release of MY TRUTH, the brand new full-length album from GRAMMY®, Stellar Award and DOVE Award winner Jonathan McReynolds. MY TRUTH is the fifth album since the release of the current 5
the NAACP Image Award nominee. In celebration of MY TRUTH, McReynolds will embark on an 11-city tour, beginning April 13 in Orlando, Florida. MY TRUTH TOUR is in collaboration with Compassion International. MY TRUTH, a 12-track album, is accessible wherever music is sold and streamed.

Jonathan McReynolds is excited about the impact of MY TRUTH, inspired by the concept of life and seeds. Some seeds make their way and grow without much resistance. Others are thrown to the ground and trampled or thrown among thorns and weeds. McReynolds associates the seed with life’s challenges and struggles, which can cause anxiety and make people feel suffocated. In a truly transparent moment, McReynolds admits that there were times when the worries of life were overwhelming. In My Truth, Reynolds reminds us that “life is full of opportunities to choose paths that allow us to experience it fully.” Faith and personal experiences influence and strengthen his choices. The mental strength for which McReynolds is known required him to start from scratch and rebuild from simpler, more basic, more important, more intimate truths.

MY TRUTH was preceded by the number 1 Billboard single “Your World”, which spent 5 weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Gospel chart. “Your World” reminds the listener of God’s sovereignty – bop, deliberately upbeat and happy. The song was intended to aid listeners in removing their own personal burdens. Known for bridging the gap between today’s church music and the music of the past, Jonathan incorporated African-American spirituals and Marvin Gaye influences. “Your World” makes listeners move and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Jonathan McReynolds shares, “This song reflects my evolution and growth. I’m not the same person I was when I wrote my first album. Now I’m safe enough to take more risks and remove all limits to my creativity. It it’s God’s world… and we just live in it!”

Jonathan has released four full-length studio albums and one EP, as well as one EP with Mali Music, both of which won him a GRAMMY® Award. McReynolds holds a master’s degree in theology from Moody Theological Seminary and is currently on the faculty at Columbia College. He is also the founder of Elihu Nation, a non-profit organization that promotes wisdom, and was recently awarded a $30,000 grant. He is also a member of Mensa, an international high IQ association. Jonathan starred as a judge on BET’s hit series Sunday Best for two seasons (2019, 2020) and in 2021 he starred in his first movie, Favorite Son, a BET Original Movie.

McReynolds’ first book as an author, Make Room: Finding Where Faith Fits, uses biblical testimony and personal experience to challenge readers to make room for God in all areas of life. McReynolds emphasizes that readers make room for God publicly and privately, mentally and spiritually, to experience the fullness that can only come through a true relationship with God. “Make Room: Finding Where Faith Fits” is now available on Amazon.com.
