NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Greenwich Entertainment will premiere NEEDTOBREATHE: INTO THE MYSTERY, a documentary film directed by Chris Phelps and produced in collaboration with Elektra Records and Foundations Music, on demad (including iTunes/AppleTV and Amazon Prime Video) on Tuesday, November 23.
The film will be released in connection with the band’s massive 38-city US tour. The theatrical trailer is currently accessible.
NEEDTOBREATHE: INTO THE MYSTERY is a documentary that follows the making of NEEDTOBREATHE’s latest album, Into the Mystery, which was released on July 30 by Elektra Records.
The band decamped to a historic house-turned-recording studio in remote Tennessee to write on new songs at the height of the COVID-19 outbreak, without notifying anybody. They spent three weeks together under one roof, handcrafting an album that reflects the tumultuous time and may feature the most essential songs in the band’s illustrious existence.
NEEDTOBREATHE: INTO THE MYSTERY provides a unique glimpse into the cooperation of artists at the pinnacle of their creative powers who are grappling with the same dread and loneliness that has afflicted everyone over the last 16 months.
NEEDTOBREATHE stated, “We’re big fans of music documentaries where you get to really witness the artist create in the place where the song is created.” “Watching a concept develop into a polished song is really inspirational, but we’ve never really let our fans in on the process.” People will now be able to sit down and be a part of the process as we record our eighth studio album at an ancient house in the Tennessee hills.”
NEEDTOBREATHE has quietly evolved as a dynamic force in rock music since 1998, topping the charts, selling out historic venues, getting GRAMMY® nominations, and selling over 2 million albums and generating over 2 billion streams to date. Elektra Records will release their latest album, Into The Mystery, on July 30.
