(Feb. 24) via Venture3Media, the globally renowned praise and worship group Planetshakers publishes “Nothing Is Impossible – Live In Manila” (V3M). The newly recorded live version of the 2011 original, which has received over 150 million streams to date across numerous platforms, is now accessible at all significant digital and streaming outlets through https://planetshakers.streamlink.to/nothingisimpossiblelive.
The Planetshakers band recorded “Nothing Is Impossible” while 60,000 people attended four consecutive sold-out shows at the 15,000-seat SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, September 8–11, 2022. The song was written and produced by Joth Hunt. The audience’s ferocious, joyous reception to the song clearly energised the band. For the single’s Deluxe Edition, this exuberant declaration is also captured on film in addition to the audio.
When Pastor Russell [Evans] told us he would be teaching on Sunday on faith, I was in a Planetshakers staff prayer group that year, recalls Hunt of the song’s early development. I then returned to the recording studio and started reading the Bible, praying, and asking God to give me a song of faith. “Nothing Is Impossible” was born 30 minutes later.
Several other performers from all around the world have since recorded the song in other languages, each adding their own artistic interpretations.
“To see the impact of this song and how God has used this song is just amazing,” continues Hunt. “I remember hearing about a boy who got struck by lightning. He ended up in the hospital being a quadriplegic. As he laid in the hospital, his family decided to play this song on repeat and fill the atmosphere of that hospital room with faith. When the doctors said there was going to be no way, we saw God do a mighty miracle where he was fully restored and able to walk again.
Hunt continues, “The Word of God is all over this song. We can accomplish anything through Christ who gives us power, according to the Word of God, which is Truth. And we witness God’s might at work in so many seemingly impossible circumstances. Watch the song’s fascinating video history below.
Along with “Nothing Is Impossible” and the recently released, “Yes And Amen,” Planetshakers’ current, full production live album GREATER and its companion GREATER: Live At Chapel project both released last fall. The chapel album re-crafts GREATER songs in a musically accessible way for smaller gatherings and was recorded by the band on a mountaintop vista near Melbourne, Australia along with Planetshakers Bible College students.
